when
designer Jenn Hugunin was planning her wedding. When
it came time to choose the invitations, she was confident
she would design her invitation herself – after
all, she’s been a graphic designer for thirteen
years and the ultimate project for any designer is to
create her own wedding invitation!
But
as the wedding planning became more hectic, and time
got shorter as the calendar grew closer to the “Big
Day,” Jenn decided she would see what was out
there for invitations. To her surprise she was very
disappointed and a bit horrified. After spending precious
hours in stationary stores, pouring over giant binder
after giant binder, she left with a sore wrist and only
two potential invitations – and her feelings for
those were only lukewarm. She also logged hours on-line,
coming across some unique invitations, although none
quite represented her and her fiance’ nor tied
into the theme of their wedding. The style wasn’t
right, and nor was quality. She felt she could buy nicer
cards at the Hallmark store!
So
she ended up designing her own invitation...and had
an incredible time in the process! Jenn realized she
loved working with different papers, vellums, ribbons
and inks to create an invitation that was truly unique.
She knew it would be like no other wedding invitation
her guests had ever received, and would be sentimental
to her and her fiance’ forever.
After
the invites went out, Jenn was surprised by the positive
responses she received. She quickly realized that there
is a need to be filled – to give other brides
the opportunity for custom designed invitations and
other printed materials for their wedding. For every
bride has a style and every wedding is unique....allow
Jenn to make this a reality. |
